Chiefs Esports Club partners with Altus Esports - Esports Insider

Australian esports organisation Chiefs Esports Club has unveiled a partnership with Australian sim racing team Altus Esports.

Sim-racing becomes the latest esport for the organisation to enter. It currently fields teams in League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Rocket League respectively.

The partnership will see the brands work together on new projects with the aim of helping to grow and develop sim racing at a grassroots level in Australia.

Simon Feigl, Team Manager of Altus Esports discussed the partnership in a release: “We felt a great synergy between the organisations, despite our relative difference in maturity within the Esports & Gaming scene. There is a lot that we can learn from The Chiefs, and a lot that we can do to broaden the exposure to each other’s audience.

“From a racing perspective, we feel the time is right to really move the needle forward as far as Racing Esports is concerned, and we’re excited to engage with The Chiefs in this new partnership, as they too are racing fans and love the unique features of racing as an Esport” said Altus team manager Simon Feigl.

In October last year, Altus Esports entered a deal with Logitech ANZ that saw Logitech G become its title sponsor, making it Logitech G Altus Esports.

Simon Feigl, Team Manager at Altus Esports added: “From a racing perspective, we feel the time is right to really move the needle forward as far as Racing esports is concerned, and we’re excited to engage with The Chiefs in this new partnership, as they too are racing fans and love the unique features of racing as an esport”.

Esports Insider says: This partnership has the potential to build and develop the Australian sim racing scene from the ground up. It’s an esport that offers unique sponsorship opportunities along with a strong crossover between virtual and real-life racing. It will be interesting to see if any further organisations decide to get in the driver’s seat and invest.
