The New England Patriots (12-3) and the Miami Dolphins (4-11) are set to wrap up their regular season on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. If Bill Belichick's team is able to beat his former assistant coach in Brian Flores in this divisional matchup, New England will secure the No. 2 seed in the AFC and have a first-round bye. For Miami, they're simply playing for pride at this point.
Heading into the locker room at halftime, the Dolphins were the team to take control early. On top of opening up the scoring with a field goal in the first quarter, corner Eric Rowe was able to pick off Tom Brady in the second and take the ball to the end zone for a pick-six. That put Miami up by ten, but New England did come back to even the score at the break. While Brady was able to spark the Patriots' lone touchdown drive with a big 50-yard pass to Phillip Dorsett to get them in the red zone, the veteran quarterback has been inaccurate for most of the day. The Dolphins offense, meanwhile, hasn't been able to put the Patriots away and miscues like dropped passes and penalties have allowed their AFC East rival to claw back in this game.
